In a candy filled fairy flossed land awaits a world filled with hopes and dreams. You play as Poncho with his sidekick Cid in a suppressed work environment controlled by Broccoli Co.
As Poncho your objective is to run and run and run, while trying to avoid obstacles and even Mr Broccoli himself. If you fail to do so be sure to find your self back in your office at Broccoli Co.
Mr. Dreamer works on a simple one touch mechanic, tap to switch and tap to switch back; simple. However Poncho is on a fixed path, so be sure that he isn’t upside down for too long or you will wake him up from his candy filled dream.
The game it self is very simple but hard at the same time. I cant stress enough how hard it was for me to get past the 3rd word without lossing all my life. I’m serious its really hard! With that being said if you did find your self always dying look out for star candy. Collecting 3 will send you into a suger high spin and quickly whoosh you through the world while collected all candy as you past. Mr. Dreamer consist of 8 beautiful worlds with achievements to be unlocked like outfits and trophies.
If your a bit short on some cloud, collecting candy will slowly help you regain some back. Though it can quickly be lost if your caught on the wrong side of the world or accidentally hitting a bomb.
Visually Mr.Dreamer is just amazing, with retina support (iPhone Only) and 8 beautifully constructed worlds you wish you can just stop and take a look. At the moment I’ve been playing Mr.Dreamer on my iPhone 4, it runs ok but not the best. Load times can be a bit long when loading a new word and sometimes just has a hiccup. After one round it’s usually fine from their on. If you do have a iPhone 4s, new iPod touch or iPad2/3 it will run fine.
When I first played Mr.Dreamer I was drawn straight to the music. Everything about it just screams out joy. I can’t explain it, but every time I played the game I made sure I had a pair of headphones so I can crank it up and just tune out whist listening to the sound track.
Mr. Dreamer may be a simple minded game filled with candy and gummy worms but when I play it; it takes me back to a simpler time where I didn’t have to think just play. Mr. Dreamer does that and does that well. We all may be different in what we consider as simple but sometimes a little simple is what we need.
Mr. Dreamer will set you back 0.99cents, so what are you waiting for? Stop living and start dreaming!
