Shopping centres are packed and everyone is running around trying to do all that last minute shopping. So instead of running around with your head cut off, make a list of people and what your going to buy them. No need to browse just walk in and walk out.
This is my Top 5 last minute gifts for Gamers this holiday season.
Buying gamers gifts are actually really hard, especially if you forgot and now on the run to find a gift for them. If you buy anything game related then you are in the clear but here are my top 5 suggestions.
1. The Gift Card
The gift card may sound lame and be lame because it’s just a card, but in the eyes of a gamer it’s a whole library of games which they could buy. Just make sure you put enough in their to save them on their next purchase or even enough to buy a whole new game. Be careful of expiry dates though, as a gamer never like to be rushed when buying their games.
A great gift card is MOL, the only gift card that never expires! Money Online (MOL) is a online portal to over 6,500 games as well as services such as Spotify, Xbox Live, Steam and Facebook games. To purchase a MOL gift card, head to any EB Games, 7-Eleven store or online via www.mol.com and set up your free account.
If your friend has an Xbox or Steam then they will love this Gift Card.
You may think this would be No.1 but it’s always safe to give a gift card. Buying games for your special friend is a little more tricky. Do you know your friend, do you listen to which games he/she wishes to own. Then buy it for them, you feel pretty awesome knowing you got them something they wanted. If you are a really good friend I would get the game on the opposite console, that really shows you care. Make sure to keep the receipt though so they can go swap it over. It’s at least something I would do, because Chris we all know the PS4 is better. Chris owns a Xbox One which I hate him for because we can’t play games together. *I’m not going to buy you a PS4 Chris.
3. Loot Crates
Lookcrates have been the new craze this year with many other crates such as Nerdblock and more. For Australians you are looking about $15 per a month, prices differ country to country. Packed full of awesomeness and random surprises you gamer friend would love this gift. Keep in mind though they would get these Crate in the new year. Also make sure they don’t already have a subscription, because that would be weird. Maybe a gift to yourself?
See how I said figurines not dolls. This is an important factor to remember especially if you are not a gamer. Dolls are something you play with and figurines are well crafted, hand painted, plastic moulded of awesomeness. Some people play with them or just stare at them, where I like to put them in inappropriate sexual positions.
Figurines can cost between $10 to $100 depending on the quality of the figurines. If you want something a bit special you may be looking at around $50. You can get awesome figurines at Target or Big W who have a wide selection of action figurines.
Pop Vinyls are also a great, you can check out a wide selection here popcultcha.com.au. Stores are however limited to a hand full of Figurines so make sure you head to our biggest comic store or Eb games in your state for a wider range.
5. Game related T-Shirts
Game related T-shirts are always awesome. Either it’s to do with how many lives you have left or the logo of an awesome series like The Legend of Zelda. You can get a wide selection now at most retailers such as K-Mart or Big W.
I know i’m not alone when you see someone wearing a gaming shirt and you feel like giving them a high five because of their taste in games. I also try to look in people bags, seeing what they recently bought at the local game store. I’m weird I know.
Obviously you may have some better ideas so leave a comment bellow on what would you get your gamer friend?
